Put on Some Gangsta Rap, Change Your Perspective, & Handle It!

Sometimes what helps with staying motivated in our lives is to change our perspectives. Many of us say things like, “I have to go to the gym today,” or “I have to go for a run and eat healthy.”

News flash: you don’t have to do any of those things.

It’s always your choice whether you accomplish your goals or not.

Change your perspective.

Instead of thinking you have to go to the gym, say, “I get to go to the gym today.” Some people don’t even have access to an environment like a gym. Let’s be real, gym memberships cost money! Or like most people, they believe that they don’t have time. I hope you can see the advantage you have by getting to go to the gym.

So again, you don’t have to go for that run. Nobody is making you do it. You get to run. And you get to eat healthy. You get to choose from healthier options, rather than eating McDonald’s because that’s all you can afford.

I think this principle can be applied to almost every aspect of our lives, not just fitness related. Changing you perspective can add an abundance of appreciation towards the little things you may normally complain about. I hope you can see these ordinary feats in your life as tremendous opportunities. Maybe the change in perspective can motivate you to press forward in a positive light.

Ahhhhhh lovely to read. I thought of this a few years back and it really changed my perspective. I used to use the word ‘need’ a lot as well – like I need to do the housework, I need to keep in touch with people…saying ‘I get to’ made me have more gratitude 🙂

Perspective surely is everything. When you change your can’t’s to can’s, it’s amazing what you can accomplish. Thanks for writing, and check out our podcasts and blog posts! There may be something in there you can agree with and find assurance in, as well. 🙂
